About Trademark Objection

Trademark Objection implies that Trademark application is checked and examined. A trademark application is objected when trademark registry requires clarification on few points as they reasons to object the trademark application.

On their official website, the registry uploads a copy of Examination Report and a letter asking reply is sent to the applicant. In this case, objection is raised by Trademark department on its own and not by any company, competitor brand or third party. The objections raised by third parties are called Trademark Opposition.
The Trademark Objection and Trademark Examination are one and the same. There is no difference between them.
Within 30days of issue of report by trademark registry, Trademark objection has to be filed. On non-filing of appropriate legal reply, the trademark registry can cancel the trademark application and update the application status as Abandoned
